Reviewing Public Access to the Holiday Park Boat Ramp in Yarrawonga

Council is reviewing public access to the boat ramp located inside the Yarrawonga Holiday Park. This ramp has served the community for many years, but with changes in infrastructure and ongoing safety concerns, it's time to consider its future.

In 2023, Council completed construction of a new public boat ramp at Cullens Road. This ramp provides access to the Murray River downstream of Lake Mulwala and was built to meet modern safety, access, and parking needs.

The older ramp at the Holiday Park sits within leased Crown land, is prone to erosion, and raises ongoing maintenance and liability concerns. Before any decisions are made, Council is asking community members to share their thoughts.

Whether you're a regular river user, a visitor, or someone who cares about public access to local facilities, your feedback will help guide the next steps.
The consultation will be open from Wednesday 20 August to Wednesday 10 September.

All feedback collected during this consultation will be reviewed and summarised in a report to Council. The aim is to ensure the decision reflects community needs, values and long-term use of river access facilities.
