Thompsons Beach is one of Cobram-Barooga’s most treasured natural spaces, enjoyed for its riverfront setting, open landscapes and connection to Kennedy Park.

To plan for its future and respond to growing visitation, Moira Shire Council is developing a new Masterplan that will enhance usability, accessibility and environmental resilience across the precinct.

We’re in Stage 1 of developing this masterplan, which focuses on listening. Understanding who uses the area, how it’s used and what the community values or hopes to see improved.

This early feedback will shape future concept designs throughout 2026.

Tell us about your experience and help guide the future of Thompsons Beach by completing the survey by 02 April 2026.

How you can engage:

Tell us what you love about Thompsons Beach, what could be improved, and how you see the precinct evolving in the years ahead.

Your insights will help shape early ideas for the Masterplan.

Share your favourite memories, stories or photos that capture why Thompsons Beach is a treasured place for you.

Upload images or reflections to our community wall so we can celebrate this landscape together.
