At our August 27 Council Meeting the Draft Road Management Plan Version 9 was adopted to be released for community consultation.

This is an important document for our community. It explains how we look after our large road network and sets out a long-term plan for how Council will manage roads into the future.

This Draft Road Management Plan:

  • Inspection schedules for roads, footpaths, bridges, and road infrastructure
  • Response timeframes for fixing defects and hazards
  • Standards and priorities for maintenance and repairs
  • Responsibilities between Council, property owners, and other authorities

This plan helps us meet our legal responsibilities under the Road Management Act 2004 and sets out a clear approach to keeping our roads and pathways safe for everyone in the community.
