Thank you to everyone who provided feedback during the consultation period of, February 1 – 23.

During this consultation community members had the opportunity to view the draft policy and guidelines, post feedback on our engagement page and speak with the Community Development, Arts and Culture team at three Community Information Sessions.

From the feedback we received, Council understood that community engagement and consultation is very important for the development and implementation of public art, Council made the following amendments to the Public Art Policy and Public Art Guidelines which were adopted at the Scheduled Council Meeting on Wednesday 27 March.

The Consultation

Moira Shire Council's Public Art Policy and Guidelines have been created to support the funding, commissioning, installation and maintenance of Public Art on Council owned or managed assets, or Public Art on private property partially or fully funded through a Council funding stream.
