Council wants to hear from you about potential future uses former Yarrawonga Primary School Site.

Background

The land and buildings in Tom Street, Yarrawonga which comprise the former Yarrawonga Primary School have not been used for education purposes since 2018.

In 2019 the Department of Education and Training indicated that the site is no longer required for education purposes and subsequently offered it for sale through the First Right of Refusal offer to public authorities.

In response to previous requests from the Yarrawonga Community, Council has progressed discussions with the Victorian Government about securing the site from the government.

The Assistant Treasurer, the Department of Transport and Planning (DTP) and the Victorian School Building Authority (VSBA) have provided Council with an opportunity to assess the interest of the community to better understand future needs and uses, including the level of investment required to acquire and refurbish the site.

How can you help?
If you have an interest in using the site, Council would like to hear from you!

  • Stage 1: Register your Interest
