The proposed Policy and Guidelines for Community Strengthening Grants were open for community feedback from 3 July to 24 July.

Council will continue to support community through the Government Grant process.
At the August Scheduled Council Meeting, proposed changes were adopted and the Guidelines and Policy have been updated to reflect these changes.

Our Community Strengthening Grants provide crucial funding to enhance the involvement of local organisations.

These grants help develop services, manage facilities, coordinate events and promote tourism and health within our community.


We offer 3 grant categories:
  • Major Grants - up to $10,000
  • Quick Response - up to $5,000
  • Quick Response - up to $1,000

Council is collecting the information contained in this engagement tool to help Council understand the community's views on the draft update Community Strengthening Grants Policy and Guidelines. The information collected will be used to assist Council in development of a final Community Strengthening Grants Policy and Guidelines.
